Welcome to Ms. Duarte's English Classroom
For starters, some students call me Ms. Duarte others call me Ms. D, whichever you feel more comfortable with is okay with me. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my Master's Degree and am now currently looking forward to pursue my PhD at Florida International University. I was born and raised in the beautiful, sunny city of Miami, Florida and am blessed with a wonderful family who I adore very much. I was born December 28 and by birth I am a Capricorn.
Teaching is something which I have always carried a passion for throughout my entire life. As a child, I was always playing with chalkboards or having an "imaginary" classroom while teaching students the ABC's. It was something that I was born with and I consider no feeling to be more great than to touch the lives of children and have that one chance to make a positive change on their lives. The road to finally pinpointing what you want to be in life is not the easiest, but sooner or later you will eventually realize what you were born to do.
I look forward to an amazing year and many new discoveries throughout the course of the classroom. Students will find while being enrolled in my class that it will be an environment where ideas are freely expressed and I want them to feel as though it is their chance to finally show who they really are and to have that opportunity to voice your opinions, exchange words, and more importantly, blossom into beautiful, intelligent individuals. It will be a great year!
